The Rabbit and the Tortoise Once upon a time, there was a rabbit. "Ah…ah… I feel sleepy. I feel very sleepy." Then he hopped down the hill and met some friends, the pig, the goat, and the cow. "Hi! I must hurry. I must hurry. But I am tired." Rabbit was tired, too. Rabbit sat down under the mushroom tree. "Poor guy! Even if I take a nap, he can’t catch up with me. Ah… I feel so sleepy." The legal system within Scotland has also remained separate from those of England and Wales and Northern Ireland; Scotland constitutes a distinct jurisdiction in both public and private law. The continued existence of legal, educational, religious and other institutions distinct from those in the remainder of the UK have all contributed to the continuation of Scottish culture and national identity since the 1707 union with England.

In 1997, a Scottish Parliament was re-established, in the form of a devolvedunicameral legislature comprising 129 members, having authority over many areas of domestic policy. Scotland is represented in the United Kingdom Parliament by 59 MPs and in the European Parliament by 6 MEPs. Scotland is also a member of the British–Irish Council, and sends five members of the Scottish Parliament to the British–Irish Parliamentary Assembly.

In 2004, natural disasters killed 232 people and left 38 missing, injured 187 others, destroyed 4,200 houses and 3,000 hectares of rice, and killed over 2,000 cattle and 170,000 poultryin Vietnam, causing a property loss of over $57 million dollars.

Vietnam's long 3,200-kilometers coastline is battered every year by up to 10 storms, killing hundreds, even thousands of people. Some meteorologist predict that global warming will bring more rain to the region more rain, stronger typhoons and higher sea levels and make the flooding problem worse

I'm a student at a small secondary school. Up to now, I've learnt English for at lest 5 years. In my point of view, I think English is a very important and essential subject at school as it's the official language in the world and it's neccessary to learn it if you want to enter gobal workforce. Besides, it's also interesting, so I like it alot !

At weekend, I often do some outdoor activities, computer games or revise my lesson. Sometimes, I visit my grandma, too. My weekend is simple but much peaceful

In my opinion, life in the countryside is convenient-as I'm living there and I feel comfortable.
In the first place, life in the the countryside is much more peaceful in the way that it gives people a chance to relax and feel at ease.
Secondly, the air is so fresh and pure in the countryside. Besides, there are so many beautiful sceneries there such as woods, mountains, rivers, ponds and lakes... For that reason, many people choose the countryside as their refreshment site after tiring days at work. Moreover, rural people are very friendly and hospitable. You are always welcome to their place. They make a living by farming and breeding cattle and poultry. The food there is always fresh and delicious.
Lastly, life in the conutryside is very peaceful and good for our heath.
If someone asks where I would rather live, my definite answer is the peaceful and happy coúntryide.

Everyday morning, I get up at 5:30. After brushing my teeth and washing my face, I usually have breakfast at 6:30 a.m. I go to work by motorbike and be there at about 7:15 a.m. It takes me about 15 minutes from my house to get to my school. I usually start my work at 7:30 a.m. I stop at 11:45 a.m for my lunch in my school office. In the afternoon, I finish my work at 5:30 p.m, then I go home. I always spend my time on cooking dinner for my small family and we usually have dinner at 7:30 p.m. After dinner, we often watch TV and play with our son. After that, I always prepare my lessons plan and go to bed at 11:00 pm. On weekends, I usually go out with my family or friends.
