I'm from a countryside. I have to go to Ho Chi Minh City in order to learn. I have been living here for 2 years. And I see differ between the City and countryside.
As you know the Saigon City has always been known to be a place of crowded and noisy as opposed to the countryside, where is a place of peace and quiet. It's too quiet to hear birdsong.
Life in the city is full of activity. Early in the morning everybody rush out of their homes. Start a new day with a coffee. Soon the streets are full of traffic. Shop and offices open, students go to school. The day's work begins.
Tourists, sightseers and other visit many places of the city such as museums, historic sites... while businessmen progress trade. In the countryside, the scattered houses among hundreds of plants. The City with high-rise buildings are built closely together. The roads are spread. It's hard to find a shade of tree in here.
The worker in the countryside leaved their homes early in the morning to work in the fields, catch fish in the streams or open small shop. While people work in the company, offices in the City.
Then towards evening, the office and day school begin to close. Many of store too close. Everyone seems to be a hurry to reach home. This is the cause of traffic accidents. With the coming of night. The streets are now full of colorful lights, the air is cooler and life becomes more leisurely in the evening.
Other than the countryside, who watches TV, listen to radio at home with their family. In the City, entertainment begins with watching film at the cinema, going to the park, playing tennis. Those who are interested in politics discuss the latest political. In here, the policeman patrol in order to warrant safety for the City.
Here, the drama of life enacted every day. Thieves and robbers more than in the countryside, they active all day. May be, the City is not absolutely quiet. As a result, the people of the city are usually better informed than those of the countryside, where information technology isn't developed. The city could, therefore, be described as a place of ceaseless activity. Progress in science and education has already begun to affect the countryside, hundreds of people are living the countryside to seek their fortunes in the city. And Saigon City, where is chosen. HCM city is the most populous, more and more increasingly. HCM city, where is called Prey Nokor. The city has been urbanization.
But I have to admit the HCM City is very beautiful, on holidays, Saigon becomes sparkling.
Did you arrive to Saigon?
I believed that when you arrived here, you would like the beauty of Saigon by night.

My name is Quang, and I am the only son in my family. I am a 4th – year law student, and I am currently studying in Ho Chi Minh City. My little family has four people, and we live in Vinh Long province. The house is always filled with my dad’s laughter, my mother’s warm voice and my sister’s playfulness.
My father is a retired police officer, and he is working as a defense education teacher in our local high school. Perhaps he had to due with years of hard training in the military; my father is finally comfortable to show his humor in the teaching environment. In the first look, he is a tough man; but actually he is very emotional and funny. Dad is a solid pillar and a great spiritual supporter for the whole family.
Un him, my mother is a gentle but strict woman. many other women, my mother always takes care and sacrifices the best things for us. She is both our close friends and tutor in study and some private problems.
My sister is going to be a high school student soon. She is doing very well at school, and she is always rewarded by the school. She starts to look a mature girl, un the little monkey that always sks to me the previous years.
This summer I cannot go home to visit my family and play with my sister because I am about to graduate. I miss them a lot, and I hope that all will be over soon so I can return home and work near my beloved family.

Tôi tên là Quang, và tôi là đứa con trai duy nhất của gia đình. Tôi đang là sinh viên năm 4 chuyên ngành luật, và hiện tôi đang học tại Thành Phố Hồ Chí Minh. Gia đình nhỏ của tôi gồm bốn người hiện đang sống tại tỉnh Vĩnh Long. Ngôi nhà lúc nào cũng ngập tràn tiếng cười của bố, giọng nói ấm áp của mẹ và tiếng đùa nghịch của em gái tôi.
Bố tôi là công an về hưu, ông đang dạy giáo dục quốc phòng trong một trường cấp 3. Có lẽ vì phải trải qua những năm tháng rèn luyện nghiêm khắc trong quân ngũ, bây giờ bố tôi mới được thoải mái bộc lộ tính hài hước của mình trong môi trường dạy học. Nhìn bề ngoài, bố là người cứng rắn nhưng bên trọng lại sống rất tình cảm và vui vẻ. Bố là trụ cột vững chắc và là điểm tựa tinh thần lớn lao cho cả gia đình.
Khác với bố, mẹ tôi là người phụ nữ dịu dàng nhưng có phần nghiêm khắc. Như rất nhiều người phụ nữ khác, mẹ tôi luôn quan tâm và hi sinh những điều tốt nhất cho anh em tôi. Với chúng tôi, mẹ vừa là người bạn thân vừa là người dẫn dắt trong học tập và cả những chuyện riêng tư.
Em gái tôi chuẩn bị vào cấp 3. Cô bé học rất giỏi và luôn được nhà trường khen thưởng. Nó đã bắt đầu ra dáng một thiếu nữ chứ không còn như một con khỉ nhỏ luôn bám lấy tôi như những năm trước.
Hè năm nay tôi không về nhà để thăm gia đình và chơi với em gái được vì tôi chuẩn bị tốt nghiệp .Tôi rất nhớ nhà và mong tất cả sẽ sớm kết thúc để tôi có thể trở về quê và làm việc ở gần gia đình thân yêu của tôi.

Everytime summer is coming, I have chance to travel to many places, enjoy the things that only summer brings about. My favorite place is the beach, where is sunny, windy. I can have chance to enjoy swimming, diving into the sea, contemplating the colorful coral reefs. My sister and I always play volleyball with the other on the beach, sunbathe and build our own sand castle. In addition, we also paripate in some adventure games such as parachuting, surfing, highwire ... It brings to me extremely comfortable moment and fun. My favorite food in summer is ice cream, there are many different flavors chocolate, vanilla, matcha or coconut. It is very cool and delicious. In addition, some fruits such as orange, mango, watermelon are so available and nutritious, provide us with the necessary vitamins, which keeping beautiful skin, enhancing immune system, purifying the body. These are special gifts that only summer brings about, it also makes me love summer very much.

Mỗi mùa hè về, mình có cơ hội đi du lịch biết bao nơi, tận hưởng những thứ mà chỉ mùa hè mới mang đến. Địa điểm mà mình yêu thích nhất là bãi biển đầy nắng đầy gió. Mình được thỏa thích bơi lội, lặn xuống lòng biển, chiêm ngưỡm những rặng san hô sặc sỡ màu sắc. Mình và chị gái thường chơi bóng chuyền với mọi người trên bãi biển, nằm tắm nắng và xây nên những lâu đài cát cho riêng mình. Ngoài ra, chúng mình còn tham gia một số trò chơi mạo hiểm như nhảy dù, lướt ván, highwire... Chúng đem lại cho mình những phút giây vô cùng thoải mái và vui vẻ. Món ăn mà mình yêu thích nhất vào mùa hè là kem, có rất nhiều các vị khác nhau như socola, vani, matcha hay dừa. Nó rất là mát và ngon miệng. Ngoài ra, một số loại hoa quả như cam, xoài, dưa hấu cũng rất sẵn và bổ dưỡng, cung cấp cho chúng mình lượng vitamin cần thiết, giúp đẹp da, tăng cường miễn dịch, thanh lọc cơ thể. Đây là những thức quà đặc biệt mà chỉ mùa hè mang đến, nó cũng làm mình thêm yêu mùa hè hơn.

Dear Ly Tran Thi Huong,
English is becoming more and more important under the trend of globalization. However, after learning English for a few years, my English is not as good as I wish. In my opinion, there are several reasons. I spent little time learning English unless there are English examinations. I focused the most time and energy on preparing for passing the English exams.
I had few opportunities to practise speaking English. I can write English but I cannot speaking English well.
I think I should spend more time to study English and try to find oportunities to practise speaking with native speakers to improve my English listening nad speaking skills.
I firmly believe that I will improve my English by hard work and persistence in the future.
