THE CITY AND THE COUNTRY

David: How do you like living in the big city?

Maria: There are many things that are better than living in the country!

David: Can you give me some examples?

Maria: Well, it certainly is more interesting than the country. There is so much more to do and see!

David: Yes, but the city is more dangerous than the country.

Maria: That’s true. People in the city aren’t as open as those in the countryside.

David: I’m sure that the country is more relaxed, too.

Maria: Yes, the city is busier than the country. However, the country is much slower than the city.

David: I think that’s a good thing!

Maria: Oh, I don’t. The country is so slow and boring! It’s much more boring than the city.

David: How about the cost of living? Is the country cheaper than the city?

Maria: Oh, yes. The city is more expensive than the country.

David: Life in the country is also much healthier than in the city.

Maria: Yes, it’s cleaner and less dangerous in the country. But, the city is so much more

exciting. It’s faster, crazier and more fun than the country.

David: I think YOU are crazy for moving to the city.

Maria: Well, I’m young now. Maybe when I’m married and have children I’ll move back to the country.

One day, I want to travel to Korea because I have always been a fan of Korea’s culture.

Korea is located in Asia. This country is famous for many things like K-Pop, amazing food, peach blossoms, movies,… If I am in Korea, I want to go hiking on Mt Seoraksan – a mesmerizing famous mountain. The next place I want to visit is Jeju Island to see the beautiful beaches and giant lava tubes. It would be awesome if I could see my K-Pop idols in real life or at least go see their companies. Jagalchi Market in Busan is very beautiful, I hope to go there and try good seafood. Like other tourists, I also want to try on their traditional costume – Hanbok, and take lots of pictures. Korea is a great destination and I wish to travel there in the future.

We can choose our friends, but we cannot choose our relatives. That does not mean that members of our family cannot also be our friends. Many children have a very good relationship with their parents, and they see them as friend. Of course when you are a teenager, there are times when you do not get on very well with your parents, or they can get angry with you. That's only natural. There are times when you want to be independent and decide things by yourselves . After all, nobody is perfect , and we are all make mistakes. But your parents understand that. When you grow up , you will see that you have many things in common with your mum and dad.

Living in the country is something that people from the city often dream about. However, in reality, it has ...both.... its advantages and disadvantages.

There are certainly ...many... advantages to living in the country. First of all, you can enjoy peace and quiet. Moreover, people tend to be friendlier and ....more..... open. A further advantage is that there is less traffic, so it is safer ..for.... young children.

On the other hand , there are certain drawbacks to life ..outside.... the city. Firstly, because there are fewer people, you are likely to ..have.... fewer friends. In addition, entertainment is ..hard...to find, particularly in the evening. Furthermore, the fact ...that.... there are fewer shops and services means that it is harder to ...find.... work. As a result, you may have to travel a long way to ...work...., which can be extremely expensive.

Tham khảo:I live in a modern developing town in Hai Phong city. There are many good things about living in my neighborhood. It has beautiful parks, lakes, stadiums. And there are many shops, restaurants, café and markets. The streets are wide and clean. There are many buildings and offices but it's not very crowded and busy. There are many bublic transportations in here: bus, train, taxi,...The people here are very friendly and kind. They are very friendly and also greet each other whenever they meet on the streets. They are also helpful. However, there is one things I don't like about living here. It's quite inconvenient because if you want to hear some live music or watch a movie at the cinema, you have to catch a bus to the city centre. Despite that, I still love living here. I love my neighborhood very much.
