Last Saturday I went to London with my brother. I stayed at a hotel near the city center. When I arrived there, the weather was very nice, it's sunny and windy. We visited many places in London. The people here are very friendly and hospitable. The food is very delicious! After two days here, we returned home. I felt very happy and I want to go there more time.
Life in the city is full of activity. Early in the morning hundreds of people rush out of their homes in the manner ants do when their nest is broken. Soon the streets are full of traffic. Shops and offices open, students flock to their schools and the day's work begins. The city now throb with activity, and it is full of noise. Hundreds of sight-seers, tourists and others visit many places of interest in the city while businessmen from various parts of the world arrive to transact business.
Then towards evening, the offices and day schools begin to close. Many of the shops too close. There is now a rush for buses and other means of transport. Everyone seems to be in a hurry to reach home. As a result of this rush, many accidents occur. One who has not been to the city before finds it hard to move about at this time. Soon, however, there is almost no activity in several parts of the city. These parts are usually the business centres.
With the coming of night, another kind of actịvity begins. The streets are now full of colorful lights. The air is cooler and life becomes more leisurely. People now seek entertainment. Many visit the cinemas, parks and clubs, while others remain indoors to watch television or listen to the radio. Some visit friends and relatives and some spend their time reading books and magazines. Those who are interested in polis discuss the latest polial developments. At the same time, hundreds of crimes are committed. Thieves and robbers who wait for the coming of night become active, and misfortune descends upon many. For the greed of a few, many are killed, and some live in constant fear. To bring criminals to juse, the officers of the law are always on the move.
Workers and others who seek advancement in their careers attend educational institutions which are open till late in the night. Hundreds of them sit for various examinations every year. The facilities and opportunities that the people in the city have to further their studies and increase their knowledge of human affairs are indeed many. As a result, the people of the city are usually better informed than those of the village, where even a newspaper is sometimes difficult to get.
The city could, therefore, be described as a place of ceaseless activity. Here, the drama of life is enacted every day

New York City
The trip took me to the New York City, what a wonderful place! Great City and Very Busy! I've seen busy people, busy street, towering buildings and a lot more. Great cultural diversity, wonderful food (of all varieties), anything you want and more. I had a wonderful experience. I enjoyed every minute of it.
I was very impressed with what I saw. I passed through Times Square, then "the Empire State Building”, a giant building. And I went straight to the very known Fifth Avenue to enjoy the excitement of Rockefeller Center. There I saw the biggest and nicest Christmas tree in NY. The fifth very is a very interesting place from where many shops and the city and its people impressed me a lot.
More than fifteen years ago, as a young student growing up in China, I dreamed of New York City as the place to see. New York city symbolized the United States, the greatest country on earth. I longed to see it. I wanted to even live there some day. Although this trip is not my first visit to the city, I still feel that there is something very special about New York City. It is a city that has welcomed and accommodated people from all over the world. The "typical" New Yorker we meet today may be African American, Italian, Dutch, Irish, German, Israeli, Ukrainian, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean, Jewish, Protestant, Catholic, Shinto, Buddhist, or Moslem. The cultural diversity has made it possible that we can find just about anything we may want. There is always something for everyone. For example, New York has a wonderful variety of restaurants for just about every type of food we can imagine. We walk down one street, get Chinese food for lunch (excellent food, great prices), then turn a corner, stop in an Italian bakery for a quick snack, or turn one more corner we may find Russian Tea Room, etc.
New York City is the most populous city in the United States and the heart of the New York metropolitan area, one of the most populous metropolitan areas in the world. As a global pioneer, New York has a strong influence on global commerce, finance, culture, fashion and entertainment. As the United Nations places its headquarters, it is also an important center for international affairs. The city is often called New York City to distinguish it from New York.

New York stands out among the most utilized public transport in the United States. Most of these vehicles operate 24 hours a day. In 2005, about 170 languages were spoken in the city and about 36% of the city's population was born outside the United States. The city is sometimes called "The City Never Sleeps" or has other nicknames like "Gotham" and "Big Apple".
New York was founded by the Dutch as a trading post in 1624. The settlement was once known as New Amsterdam until 1664 when the colony was controlled by the United Kingdom. New York was the capital of the United States from 1785 to 1790. It was the largest city in the United States since 1790.
Many of the city's neighborhoods and landscapes have become famous around the world. The Statue of Liberty has welcomed millions of migrants when they arrived in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. Wall Street, in Lower Manhattan, has been a major international financial center since the Second World War. Second place and where the New York Stock Exchange. The city is home to many of the tallest buildings in the world, including the Empire State Building and the former World Trade Center towers.
New York was the birthplace of many cultural movements, including Harlem Renaissance in the fields of literature and fine arts, abstract expression in the field of painting, and hip hop, punk, salsa, disco and Pan Alley is in the field of music. Last week, I went to Paris with my friends. We are staying at a five-star hotel, it's very luxurious. I was very impressed with what I saw. To New York, remember to visit the square 0, where the monuments and museums commemorate the 9/11 terrorist event. This emotional landscape has 2 large lakes, which is the location of the former twin tower. The people are friendly and the food is delicious! Tomorrow, we will go to Broadway. No matter what you crave for shopping, Broadway definitely meets it. I will buy souvenirs for my family. I feel very happy and I want to go there in the future.
