Ha Long Bay is located in the northeast corner of Viet Nam, 165 km from Ha Noi. In the Province of Quang Ninh. Ha Long Bay covers an area of 1,553 km2 with 1,969 islands, of which 90% are limestone islands. To the west and north west, Ha Long Bay stretches from Yen Hung district in Ha Long city to Cam Pha town in Van Don district; to the south-east and in the south, Ha Long Bay borders the western shore of Tonkin Gulf; to the southwest the Bay borders Cat Ba island (Hai Phong province).
In 1962, Ha Long Bay was recognized as a vestige and beauty spot of national significances by Ministry of Culture and Information of Viet Nam and was also recognized as a world natural heritage site twice by UNESCO organization. The first time, in 1994 for the exceptional and universal value of the landscape and the second time in 2000 for the special value of geology and geomorphology.
Ha Long Bay’s center area was regognized as a world heritage area by UNESCO and covers an area of 434 sq. Km, including 775 islands, of which 411 are named. It is bound by Dau Go island( in the west), Dau Be island (in the south) and Cong Tay island(in the east).
A buffer zone lies around the World Heritage Area, the width is about 5 - 7 km from the protection line to the sea , on moving scale of 1-2 km.

I had a trip to Ha Long Bay last summer. I extremely love the fresh air in Ha Long. I enjoyed a lot of seafood here. They are very delicious. I tried ''Banh Gat Gu''. It's soft, fragrant and sweet. I also tried ''Kem dua up nguoc'' and it really delicious and creative. T think Soi Sim island is very beautiful. There are a lot of ''Sim flower''. ''Dau Go'' cave is also very beautiful. There are lots of plants inside.

I really love Ha Long Bay, it's Quang Ninh Province. I think it's the most beautiful view I have met before. The bay features thousands of limestone karsts and isles in various shapes and sizes. Some popular caves, islands in Ha Long are Thien Cung, Ong But, Ga Choi, and Tuan Chau island - the biggest island in Ha Long. Do you know, Ha Long Bay is is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and popular travel destination. I am not surprise about it because it is meritorious.

Halong Bay is a famous landmark in the north-east coast of Vietnam, Quang Ninh province, 151 km from Hanoi to the east. Ha Long Bay is located in Quang Ninh Province, the north of Viet Nam. It's about 40 kms from here. So it only takes you an hour to get there. We can get there by : motobike, car, bus,...Ha Long Bay is recognized by UNESCO as a world natural heritage site. Ha Long Bay is famous for its caves : Sung Sot cave, Thien Cung cave, Me Cung cave,...You can see Trong Mai island is on Ha Long Bay southwest side, about 5 kms from Bai Chay beach. The sea water in Ha Long Bay is very blue and clean. You still have many interesting experiences or join tradition dance. And seafood is so delicious. Ha Long Bay is Viet Nam's most beautiful natural wonder.
