Lễ hội Songkran
Lễ hội Songkran là lễ hội năm mới của người Thái. Ngày Tết của Thái Lan là ngày 13 tháng 4 hàng năm, nhưng thời gian nghỉ lễ cũng bao gồm 14-15 tháng 4. => lễ hội kéo dài 3 ngày
Lễ Songkran rất phong phú với các truyền thống mang tính biểu tượng. Buổi sáng bắt đầu bằng việc lập công. Thăm các ngôi chùa địa phương và cúng dường thực phẩm cho các nhà sư Phật giáo thường được thực hiện. Vào dịp lễ đặc biệt này, thực hiện đổ nước lên các bức tượng Phật được coi là một nghi lễ mang tính biểu tượng cho ngày lễ này. Nó tượng trưng cho sự thanh tẩy và rửa sạch tội lỗi cũng như vận rủi của một người. Là ngày hội của sự đoàn kết, những người đi xa thường trở về nhà với những người thân yêu và người lớn tuổi của họ. Để thể hiện sự tôn trọng, những người trẻ tuổi thường tập đổ nước vào lòng bàn tay của người lớn tuổi. Tôn trọng tổ tiên cũng là một phần quan trọng của truyền thống Songkran.
