My hometown is Hanoi, Hanoi is the capital city of Vietnam. It’s quite nice and large. The city always busy and have many populations.

The city has the weather of northern Vietnam, the summer are hot and wet, the winter quite cold and dry. The summer in Hanoi is very long, from May to August and has the heavy rain are 1680 millimetres. The winter are short, cold, dry while spring can bring rains. The autumn in Hanoi is the best season in a year, romantic and very cool. Hanoi is also has some notable famous museums: National Museum of Vietnamese History, Vietnamese Museum of Evolution, Ho Chi Minh Museum. There are so many places for entertainment in Hanoi can find easily in the city. Modern and traditional theaters, cinemas, karaoke bars, dance clubs, bowling alleys, and many shopping centres for both locals and tourists. Hanoi has been named as one of the top ten cities for shopping in Asia by Smart Travel Asia. Hanoi has rich food and many Vietnam’s most famous cuisines, such as ”pho”, ”cha ca”, ”banh cuon” and ”com”. I live in a mountainous villrye. My parents often tell me stories about their life in the past. It’s not much like the village I can see nowadays. Some villagers now live in brick houses instead of earthen ones. Our houses are better equipped with electric fans and TVs. Thanks to the TV, we now know more about life outside our village. We don’t use oil lamps any more. We have electric lights which are much brighter. More villagers are using motorcycles for transport instead of riding a horse or walking. We — village children — no longer have to walk a long way and cross a stream to get to school, which is dangerous in the rainy season. Now there’s a new school nearby. We also have more visitors from the city. They come to experience our way of life.

The environment is of great importance to human life. Each of us must have a sense of responsibility, together to build a cleaner and cleaner living environment.
First of all, in order to keep the school green, we have to plant and care for the trees in the school together. Every year, we have to participate fully in the plantations of the School Union. We will take care and protect the trees on the school grounds. Trees must be protected and care, not picking flowers, breaking branches. Especially the boys, should not climb the trees in the school. You should not climb flowers on phoenix trees, linden trees ... Our beloved garden will be greener if all of us are aware of the care and protection of trees. Classes will have to do the planting and tree care in the garden, school yard.
Every family, every citizen should have a sense of environmental protection. Clean house, clean village, clean street, clean school, clean hospital is the striving direction of the whole society. Shady trees, gardens will make the street scene more beautiful. No one throws rubbish out into the street, out in public. Scientific measures should be taken to treat industrial waste. Open canals, fill ponds, open the streets to make the environment green, clean beautiful. "A day without plastic bags" - the slogan should be implemented by the entire population
Eat a candy, before dropping it on the road, thinking about how it can affect the environment. Be knowledgeable people, to protect yourself and the people around you. What did you do?
I think helping others is what everyone should do, depending on their ability. You do not have to do as big a deal as a charity project or help each day, but help whenever possible.
Try to put yourself in the shoes of the hard-working people, and you will see how much they need help. Their life is not only material but spiritual.
I regularly participate in activities that help people in need, especially women and children, as this is the subject that needs the most support.
Last year, when I came to Hanoi for Christmas, I followed a friend who brought warm clothes and charity rice to the wanderers.
I remember the night was very cold, we met a woman holding a small child sitting on the street at about 1 am. After being given a coat and rice, she took my hand and cried. The child falls asleep on his mother's shoulder. I can not speak Vietnamese, but through my eyes and my hand, I know she is very grateful.
Look at the eyes of the poor. Each of them will have their own stories or live in different countries, but the pain in their heart is the same - it is anxiety, selflessness and loss of hope in life.
On special occasions during the year such as holidays, Tet, let's share more because this is the moment when you see the difference between "happiness" and "misfortune" most clearly. When you have enough money to shop, have a place to go and have people close by, the poor still have to make a living.
For them, every day is a war of survival. This contrast is a very sad fact. So let the people less fortunate than themselves have fun in the holidays, Tet. Happiness is the happiness that is duplicated.
My hometown changes so much. The first change is life of local people. They have a better life because they have electricity, TV, hospital, schools nearby the village. The second change is the people. There are more people and more houses here. The houses are more modern in brick not by soil anymore. The last change is the place for children to play. There is a park in the village.

My neighborhood in my father's story is now different from that neighborhood. My neighborhood is very poor in his story. Everyone is living a hard life at that moment. Lack of food, lack of money. It is different now. People no longer live a hard life. They've got enough food, enough money, a house for everybody, and a lot more stuff. Sentiments are the only things that don't change. Everybody will still be very pleased. They work together, and when they need to support each other, that's a privilege. That makes my village, for everyone, a wonderful place. People are just farmers, but in the face of suffering, they have unity. And when they have money in their hands, they are always in unity with each other, they are friendly, they are supportive, they are good people. The landscape is much like the old days. That mountain, that river. Nature, with humans, is peace. People live with nature, people create things from nature, and nature is still accessible to people, providing them with resources to build their home. That's what people are looking for, and they deal with it very well. That's what I can tell about my home village. My village is a beautiful place, in my opinion.
