As a traditional family in Vietnam, I have a big one. My family has 5 members, including Mom, Dad, Grandma, sister, and me. My mom’s name is Giang. She has long hair and black eyes. She is a teacher. My Dad’s name is Trung. He is tall and very strong. His job is doctor. For me, my mom is the most beautiful woman, and my dad is the most wonderful man. And my grandma’s name is Tam. She is 95 years old, and next 5 years, we will organize the 100th longevity wishing ceremony, and I look forward to taking part in this ceremony. Besides, another woman who I love so much is my sister. Her name is Linh. She is 26 years old, and she is a beautiful woman Mom. Now, she is living in Ha Noi capital, because of her jobs. I really love my family, and I hope that we are always together anyway.

Vietnam is famous for its several holiday and festival, especially Tet holiday. It takes place from the first day of the first month of the lunar calendar until at least the third day. Although occurring in short period of time, it is believed to be the most important and popular holiday in Vietnam. There are many special food are made so as to prepare for Tet meal such as: sky square cake, Vietnamese sausage, sky rice and jam. The food is thought to reflect Vietnam’s habit and custom as well as Vietnamese’s lifestyle. Besides, the meal has other dishes fish, vegetable to show the hope for a successful and prosperous new year. In term of customs, children’s receiving red envelop from the elder, visiting relative’s houses and going to church are popular activities. Giving lucky money is thought to bring children hope and health. Church is the symbol of peace; therefore, individual go there and pray for successive year. Traditionally, the house is designed with peach flower in the North and Ochna integerrima in the south part of Vietnam. Besides, the house as well as town are clear, decorative and beautiful as all are ready to start a new year. People have cozy atmosphere and enjoy joyful time with their family’s members. It’s high time for people living at different parts of country gathering and spending time together. Tet is a chance for one to come back home after many stress and pressure of studying and working environment. Tet is not simply a holiday, it is culture and habit of Vietnamese since its deep meaning is sacred and important. All in all, Tet includes not only joy but also long-standing event in people’s soul as it helps one grow up through experience.

Về tâp quán, trẻ con nhận bao lì xì từ ngừoi lớn, chúc tết nhà họ hàng và đi lễ chùa là những hoạt động phổ biến. Tiền lì xì được cho là đem lại hy vọng và sức khoẻ cho trẻ con. Chùa là biểu tượng của sự yên bình, bởi thế mọi người tới đây và cầu nguyện cho năm mới thành công. Theo truyền thống, mỗi nhà được trang trí với cây hoa đào ở miền bắc và cây hoa mai ở miền nam. Ngoài ra, nhà và đường luôn sạch sẽ, và đẹp đẽ bởi vì tất cả đều sẵn sang cho một năm mới. mọi người có không gian ấm cúng và khảong thời gian vui vẻ với các thành viên trong gia đình. Đây là thời điểm để mọi người sống ở mọi miền đất nước sum họp và dành thời gian cho nhau. Tết là cơ hội để mọi người quay trở về nhà sau những áp lực và căng thẳng từ môi trường học tập và làm việc. Tết không chỉ là một ngày lễ thong thường, nó là văn hoá à lối sống của người Việt bởi vì ý nghĩa sâu xa của nó rất thiêng liêng và quan trọng. My family consists of 4 people. There are my husband, my two little son, and I. My husband is forty-three years old, and he works as an engineer. I am a doctor. my first son is a policeman, and the second one is still a student in primary school. We all have a busy lives in day. However in the evening after dinner, we sit together in the living-room talking, sometimes watching a funny movie. Then my sons go to their own rooms. On weekend, and with spare time, my family often went on to play with parents, it is very meaningful and fun. We love each other very much and expect to live together under the same roof forever. I feel very happy to be alive in this family.
Gia đình tôi gồm có 4 người. Có chồng tôi, hai cậu con trai nhỏ của tôi và tôi nữa. Chồng tôi năm nay đã bốn mươi ba tuổi, và anh là một kỹ sư, còn tôi là một bác sĩ. Con trai đầu tiên của tôi là một cảnh sát, và va cậu út nhà tôi vẫn còn là một học sinh tiểu học. Chúng tôi đều có một cuộc sống bận rộn hàng ngày. Tuy nhiên cứ vào buổi tối sau bữa ăn tối, chúng tôi ngồi lại với nhau trong phòng khách và trò chuyện, đôi khi cùng nhau xem một bộ phim hài hước. My mother is the one who I love most in my life. For what she’s done, she deserved with the whole world. My mother is a 43-year-old household wife. She’s tall, slim and especially she has a beautiful long black hair. She always smile thus everyone consider her a friendly person. My mom loves every members of the family with all her heart. She agreed to be a household woman instead of working out. My mother takes care of the household chorces. She wakes up earliest in the morning and goes to bed latest in the night. And during the day, she’s very busy. I remember once when my mother got sick so nobody did the house work and everything went to crazy. From then, my father and I join hand to help mother whenever we have free time. She’s really happy about that. When I was a kid, mom taught me to play piano at each weekend. I still remember the songs which includes many childhood’s experiences. Not only taught me to play piano, she also taught me to be a better human. I love the moral stories that she told me before I fell asleep every night. We’re really appreaciate mother’s effort, patient and her hard work to conserve the family’s happiness. My mother is an indispensable part of my life. When I grow up, I want to be a woman her.

After many pressure in life, one individual always has their own home to come back called country and Vietnam is my beautiful country. Although it is small, it has several beautiful landscape and tourist attraction. I can list out: Ha Long bay, Phong Nha cave, Nha Trang beach, Hoi An old town and so on. VN is famous for its green field, peaceful village and friendly people. Vietnamese are kind, humble, honest as well as hospitable. Besides, there are other good personalities such as: brave, patience, diligence. Country is an abstract definition including all of the most familiar things belonged to one spirit. Country plays a crucial role in nurturing one spirit and lifestyle. Each individual is a mirror reflects country’s tradition, culture, habits and customs. Specifically, there are several customs in different areas as VN has 54 ethnic groups. Each group has their own national character, which distinguish them from others. Therefore, protecting and preserving national character are Vietnamese’s duty from very old days. If there is a chance to visit our country, don’t hesitate to catch it cause VN maintains a lot of undiscovered mystery. I love VN and people here so much and I hope foreign tourists will visit my country one future day.

Hello, I want you to know my hometown. My hometown is too hot almost the entire year – about 33 degrees. So the nights are the good time to play. It’s nice to go to the restaurant, bar to meet friends and have a drink something. There are beaches here, beautiful beaches and I love to go swimming. Sometimes, I go out or just stay home and watch TV. People here are peaceful and friendly.

My beloved family has four people; my parents, my sister and I. My father runs his own shop at our house. His shop sales many different kinds of plants, and I love to help him taking care of them. Every morning, he wakes up early to water the trees before taking me to school. My mother is a teacher, she teaches at our local secodary school. She is an example of a beautiful and strong woman since she can perfectly balance between work and family. She always takes time to make breakfast for us before going to work. Although my father also cook dinner sometimes, I am only in love with her delicious food. My older sister is now studying at university, therefore she lives apart from us. Every weekend, she catch the bus to visit us and stay for one or two nights. We usually do all the things together, so I miss her so much when she first left home for school. I love and treasure every moment that I spend with them, and I always think that my family is the best thing that I could ever have.
