Festival Huế
Festival Huế là sự kiện văn hóa lớn của thành phố Huế được tổ chức hai năm một lần. Festival Huế lần đầu tiên diễn ra vào năm 2000. Mở đầu Festival Huế, du khách có thể thưởng thức một lễ khai mạc đầy màu sắc với những màn trình diễn đặc sắc của một số đoàn nghệ thuật đến từ Việt Nam và các nước. Bên cạnh đó, du khách có thể đến thưởng thức Chương trình lớn “Áo dài”, “Đêm Hoàng cung” và các hoạt động thể thao như đua thuyền, cờ người,… Đặc biệt còn tái hiện khung cảnh cổ xưa của triều Nguyễn qua Nhã nhạc Cung đình Huế. được UNESCO công nhận là Kiệt tác di sản truyền khẩu và phi vật thể của nhân loại vào năm 2003.

The Hue Festival is a cultural event celebrated every two years in order to honour Hue Cultural Heritages as well as Viet Nam’s national identity. In 2000, this event got its official name “Hue Festival” as today. In this special event, a wide variety of traditional activities are held, such as kites playing, human chess… Performances of dances and fireworks are included. The festival aims at promoting several kinds of arts as well, with the participation of over 40 art companies from Viet Nam and foreign countries. From all over the world, thousands of artists gather in Hue and demonstrate their talents throughout the city.

The Imperial City of Hue was actually a walled fortress and palace belonged to the ancient City of Hue which was a capital city of the Nguyen Dynasty- Vietnam's last royal dynasty fro 140 years. The grandeur architecture was planned to be built in 1803 by Emperor Gia Long. During 27 years from 1805 to 1832, the Imperial City of Hue was finally completed under the reign of the Emperor Minh Mang, making it the most massive structure being built in the history of modern Vietnam. There are total of ten main parts: The Citadel and The Forbidden City. The complex of the Emperor's residence, gates, temples, and pagodas was severely damage during the Vietnam War, and only 20 out of 148 bulding survied
