In recent years, the mass media have been reporting so much on environmental issues, attracting a great deal of attention from the public. In Vietnam, the most recently representative event is the mass death of fish from Ha Tinh province to Quang Tri province, causing huge damage to the government till hundreds of billion Dong, affecting the lives of inhabitants here. Not only Vietnam, some other countries in the region and in the world also suffer from severe environmental pollution. For example, in Beijing, China, the amount of air pollution is in excess of the permitted level, most of people here have to live with respiratory diseases. To overcome this current issue, the governments of many governments have the different measures to minimize the amount of pollution emitted to the environment. Many activities have been encouraged such as recycling, reusing, reforestation, waste collection, using alternative energy and so on. There have been a number of global campaigns to raise awareness of citizens like the Earth Hour with slogans, posters such as 'Protect our Earth', 'Green Environment', etc. In Vietnam, the government has also passed many laws fining heavily the organizations and individuals. Step by step, we are trying our best to protect the environment, turning the Earth into a wonderful place to live. Hope that in the future, the environmental pollution will no longer be a concern.

Nowadays, a variety of environmental problems affect our entire world. As globalization continues and Earth’s natural processes, few societies are being left untouched by major environmental troubles.

First of all, some of the largest problems now affecting to the world, air pollution and hazardous waste. These issues can be avoided with the recycling, for example in order to reduce pollution, we can minimize the energy spends on industrial production. Consequently, the greenhouse emission can be reduced which are harmful for the environment and our health. Furthermore, most of the landfill sides are filled up with a lot of waste products that could have been recycled, especially waste materials that belong to non-biodegradable category which takes a long time to discompose. In this way, recycling enable proper usage of these waste products and saves space for landfill.

Plant more trees. This is easy, you know? Choose an open area/ground near your residence or workplace. Plant a tree every month, encourage your friends and colleagues to join you. Have more and more trees planted and there will come a day when you have a green stretch of land thanks to your effort.

Walk more, drive less. Now that's not very difficult, is it? Choose to walk short distances instead of taking your car every time. Walking to the gym, to work (if it's not very far), go walking to run errands. Or use a bicycle. Both cycling and walking are good exercises. And each time you avoid using your car, you are contributing to reducing air pollution. You are saving fuel, saving money and getting a good workout too.

Trước hết, một số trong những vấn đề lớn nhất hiện nay ảnh hưởng đến thế giới, ô nhiễm không khí và chất thải nguy hại. Những vấn đề này có thể tránh được bằng việc tái chế, ví dụ như để giảm thiểu ô nhiễm, chúng ta có thể giảm thiểu năng lượng tiêu thụ trong sản xuất công nghiệp. Do đó, sự phát thải của hiệu ứng nhà kính có thể được giảm điều này vốn đang gây hại cho môi trường và sức khỏe của chúng ta. Hơn nữa, hầu hết các bãi rác được lấp đầy với rất nhiều chất thải có thể được tái chế, đặc biệt là vật liệu chất thải thuộc loại không phân hủy mà phải mất một thời gian dài để phân huỷ. Bằng cách này, tái chế cho phép sử dụng hoàn toàn các sản phẩm chất thải và tiết kiệm không gian cho bãi rác.

Kế hoạch nhiều cây xanh. Điều này thật dễ dàng, bạn biết không? Chọn một khu vực mở / mặt đất gần nơi cư trú hoặc nơi làm việc của bạn. Trồng một cây mỗi tháng, khuyến khích bạn bè và đồng nghiệp của bạn cùng tham gia.
