My family consists of 4 people. They are my parents, my sister and me.

We are living in a large house in a suburb of Ho Chi Minh City. The house is made of bricks and covered with red tiles. It has 5 rooms including a living-room, 3 bedrooms and a kitchen. The living-room, which is rather large, is decorated with beautiful pictures on the walls. The bedrooms are nice, one is for my parents and the other two for my sister and me. The kitchen is tidy and well equipped with a gas cooker, a washing-machine and a refrigerator. Around the house is a large garden with many fruit-trees and flowers.

I this house very much. It is the place where I was born and grown up. It has given me good memories since my childhood. I wish I would live in it forever.

My apartment looks quite spacious and fresh. To describe my house regarding the design, it is simple as possible as because my parents doesn’t sophisated decoration. The living room should be the biggest one where my family welcomes friends or entertains together after a long day. In each room, there is an own unique design with a bathroom is always very clean. The most beautiful city in Vietnam? This is a difficult question, as each place has it's charm. I think Nha Trang is the most interesting city.  Nha Trang is one of the 29 most beautiful sea bays in the World. It is a clean and beautiful beach with blue water and white sand. In the city center, the life is very busy. There are a lot of busy streets with shops, restaurants, bars, supermarkets,…Besides, there’re some quiet and dreamy streets. The possibly most beautiful street of Nha Trang is Tran Phu Street along the seaside. You can walk along the street to relax after hard day at work. I usualy go around the city with my friends, ex: going out and eating, drinking, listening... Nha Trang city is also a place, which attracts many foreigners from other countries.Although I go away, Nha Trang is always in my heart forever.

My house is by the sea. At night, I often go to see the sea with my parents. The sea of my hometown is the most beautiful on the moonlit nights. The sea surface is a giant gilded carpet. In the distance, the lights on the fishing boats are now hidden stars in the night. On the beach, people and tourists enjoy the cool breeze and hear the whispering waves. A few little friends are playing a game of tag and hide. Play all night but I also do not want to go back because I regret its beauty.

For Vietnamese, Lunar New year is the most important festival of a year because it is the beginning of a year. If we have a good beginning throughout first three days of year, we will have much luck during that year. Therefore, the activity of welcoming Tet festival is celebrated carefully in order to avoid unfortunate mistakes. And according to each area of the country, Vietnamese have different ways. Although I am a Vietnamese, I don’t know how families in other parts of my country welcome Tet holiday. My family, an age –old Southern family, usually celebrates Tet as this following way. Tet holiday begins on twenty-ninth of December. We start on decorating our house and preparing food for tet holiday. My father and I are responsible for tidying up our house. Quickly, the house becomes splendid with a very beautiful apricot blossom full of sweet-smelling blooming flowers in the middle of living room. On the branches, we also put some lovely greeting cards which make the tree more beautiful. When we finish our duties, my mother and sister also finish cooking. The kitchen is now full of delicious dishes whose smell float into the air. We usually keep many kinds of food in our kitchen in New Year festival. At lunch, we prepare a big feast to donate the ancestors. At the New Year‘s Eve, our family usually gather together. We watch television or play some traditional games. Until the clock strikes twelve tones to signal the moment of a new year, we donate the ancestors again. Then, my sister and I say “happy new year” to my parents and get lucky money from them. Next, we have a big meal to welcome New Year. Although all of us say nothing about our senses at that time, I know every body is cheerful and hopes for a lucky year. In three Tet days, we are usually well-dress to visit our relatives, teachers. We bring offerings to sacrifice ancestral altars, congratulate the olds on advancing in years and say New Year’s greetings to the others. Although we all are quite tired in these days, we are really joyful. Thanks to Tet holiday, we become closer and closer. Tet festival is very significant for Vietnamese, and these are all of my Tet holiday. I hope every year we have three great Tet days so that we have an extremely smooth year.

Hue is an old city. It is a dreamy city and located in central Vietnam on the banks of Huong River. Coming to Hue you could feel the quietness. Hue is famous for Huong River, Ancient Palace with a peaceful space, Thien Mu Pagoda with sacred place, Truong Tien Bridge across the Huong River. Besides, you can take part in many festivals in Hue and enjoy many typical dishes here. Especially, you can sit on Dragon boat on Huong River, enjoy the landscape and listen to Hue royal court music.
